Recently, Croatia warmly hosted a delegation led by Vice Governor Jin Hui of Hebei Province, China, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral cooperation and positioning Croatia as a vital logistical hub in Europe. The visit aimed to advance the implementation of the “Comprehensive Offshore Service Port” project, leveraging Croatia’s strategic geographical advantages and its role as an international transportation crossroads to deepen collaboration in port operations, logistics, and multimodal transit.

During the visit, the delegation held in-depth discussions with Ivo Basančić, Governor of Krapina-Zagorje County, and the CEO of the Vukovar port, Marijan Kuprešak. Both parties agreed to strengthen port cooperation, expand shipping routes, increase container transshipment, and promote the integration of China-Europe railway with the Danube River multimodal transport through Vukovar port, Led by Hebei’s international land port group—part of Hebei Logistic Group—the cooperation aims to create a seamless connection between the China-Europe railway and the Danube River multimodal network, boosting Croatia’s role as a gateway to Europe and enhancing regional connectivity.

This initiative is set to elevate Croatia’s strategic position within the global logistics network. By deepening cooperation with Hebei Province, Croatia aims to attract increased international freight traffic and investment, establishing itself as an essential hub connecting Europe, China, and the broader Eurasian regions. The partnership is expected to generate new international freight channels, facilitate trade liberalization, and promote economic growth across Croatia and the surrounding regions.

Furthermore, both sides actively support collaboration between SEZ companies and the Bonded Logistics Park in Xinji City, China. This initiative aims to harness Croatia’s “European Offshore Service Port” platform to accelerate the development of a multimodal transshipment hub linking Asia and Europe. The platform will integrate resources from logistics, legal, financial, and information sectors, providing comprehensive international services to facilitate Croatian enterprises’ participation in global trade, expand their markets in Europe, attract foreign investment, and create employment opportunities.

The success of this project depends on Croatia’s robust transportation infrastructure and policy support. The collaboration underscores Croatia’s vital role as a regional cooperation and international exchange bridge, contributing actively to national development strategies and elevating the country’s economic influence on the global stage.

Looking ahead, Croatia aspires to leverage the “European Offshore Service Port” platform to solidify and expand its position in international logistics, trade, and investment. The initiative aims to foster regional cooperation, promote economic prosperity, and open broader development prospects. This cooperation reflects Croatia’s commitment to building an open, inclusive, and diversified international cooperation framework, securing long-term interests and national security while paving the way for continued economic growth.

The ELPIS community is located approximately 21 kilometers from Melbourne CBD and its located in the heart of the western Truganina district. The ELPIS project has not only allured the media, but also due to limited amount of land left, the demands for these blocks vastly increased. 75% of the project are sold, and the sales rate are much faster than expected! Stage 14A is located on Woods Road and is located not only in a prime location of the community but it’s close to Elpis' own childcare center, medical center and shopping center. We released 12 blocks online for registrants at a promised time; first in, best dressed. We had over 600 registrants just for this particular stage.
